Introduction

Again, you will require an open bible as I will not be including the verses. Enjoy!

James

Chapter One
James writes on the nature of temptation for the believer - what constitutes pure religion, and the necessity of a true gospel rather than that which would gratify the lusts of the believer.

Chapter Two
This chapter goes on to show that in order for faith to be consistent it has to be externalised in good works. If God is not considered real enough to warrant good works from us, then we have a different God also, and a different gospel.

Chapter Three
This chapter relates further upon the divisions that have sprang up because of faulty doctrine that has leavened the gospel. The strife and diviision is in view here - with the sensual wisdom of a person that cleaves to one faction or another, that wisdom is then of the devil.

Chapter Four
This chapter continues on the cause of divisions, and clarifies to believers just what and where the sin is.

Chapter Five
This chapter wraps up - condemning those who live in factions of believers with great wealth - as they continue the lie of false doctrine, having collected the wealth to fill their lusts and perpetuate the misconceived faith of others.

1 Peter

Chapter One
This chapter opens with the blessing of God towards the trials of faith by various temptations, and the basis for which God has given His grace - for His greater glory.. for the establishing of a people that would praise Him with thanksgiving.

Chapter Two
This chapter states primarily the distinguishing characteristics of the people of God and their responsibilities in being a light to the nations, whilst remaining of good obedient behaviour before God, rather than toward the authorities in disobedience to Gods laws.

Chapter Three
This chapter exhorts with proper behaviour one toward another as well as the responsibilities of behaviour outward before unbelievers - to the end that the fellowships should be blameless and slander against the faith should be proved empty.

Chapter Four
This chapter states the sure end of faithful obedience and godly suffering - the salvation of God is to those who diligently obey God in word and deed.. many are called but few chosen. Happy then should be they who suffer to show themselves approved, whether they be ready or not to accept death head on.

Chapter Five
This final chapter lays the responsibility at keeping the doctrine of faith pure at the feet of the elders, and Peter restates the gifts of eternal life for posterity are in the believer's hands.

2 Peter

Chapter One
Peter opens the epistle with a description of the true grace of the gospel, and the very principles he considers seperate out God's elect from amongst those chosen to receive predestination to eternal life through the Holy Spirit.

Chapter Two
Peter writes with great condemnation against false teachers ands false prophets with stern words for any believer that would follow after them.

Chapter Three
The epistle finishes with a warning to expect in the last days false teaching from outside the body of believers, disputations of so-called "science" as Paul put it. In not understanding the creation of God in the genesis account men have not understood the fashion by which God made all things in the beginning: By overstating the age of the universe they dismiss the word of God and would have the believers do it too. However, Christ is swift to return in comparison - But God is in no rush to require instant obedience and great fear from His children before they are able. (Thanksgiving outweighs destruction.)
