A God That Reveals Secrets

We pick up the second chapter again at the place where Daniel enters the narrative;

Dan 2:12 For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.
Dan 2:13 And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain.
Dan 2:14 Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king’s guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon:
Dan 2:15 He answered and said to Arioch the king’s captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.
Dan 2:16 Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation.
Dan 2:17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:
Dan 2:18 That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
Dan 2:19 Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
Dan 2:20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
Dan 2:21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
Dan 2:22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
Dan 2:23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king’s matter.
Dan 2:24 Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation.
Dan 2:25 Then Arioch brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus unto him, I have found a man of the captives of Judah, that will make known unto the king the interpretation. (KJV)

Again, Daniel takes the position to the King's servant (The captain of the guard) that the captain should be patient (for one night) and let Daniel ask the King to give him some time to interpret the dream, this being the first Daniel and his three friends has known of the matter. The matter is pressing and urgent, and even though there is only a short time left the King's captain gives a reprieve to Daniel and the other three friends with time to come up with the goods.

Patience is forthcoming and the faith of Daniel and the three companions is answered with Daniel given the answer of the dream in a night vision. (The three cycle of the King's sleep is repeated - a clear show of the grace given by the King to Daniel and his friends.)

The "mercies" the four gain of the God of heaven are the restraining elements that were the floating unities not just of the dream of Nebuchadnezzar only, but assurance that they have their faith answered - they are shown that they four are approved before God, so "elected" (as we would consider the sealed in revelation.) This is in direct comparison to the wise men of the court, whom take the position of hurting the oil and wine, the empty set with the removed restrainer of destruction gone from them, the kings court is not "elect" in the Kingdom of God.

In making the thing known to His companions Daniel takes the position of the fixed truth (unity) with the other three friends the static bow (of the right hand) forming the right hands earthy elements. The rewards offered by the King will become as or unto the "bow" triple in the right (the static subgroup in the left) and the king's reward is given to the four friends, as due rewards for interpretation of the dream from the previous three cycle of the Kings sleep. (Alike to the three years of preparation in the first chapter.) i.e. given them when Daniel shows the King his answer. The gift of God is to answer the previous three cycle of the kings sleep - and this episode happens under a grace period after "the time has changed".

The blessing from Daniel to God shows where the true riches are; the gifts of God by assured election to His people. These things take the place of the rewards in the right hand octal (forming the static subgroup in the right hand) with the four friends separate as the "earthy" right hand elements. The gifts of God are their own reward, as in the left hand where the three other friends stand as the recipients of the kings rewards (forming the left hand static subgroup), Daniel separately interprets the fourfold nature of the dream - and Daniel's reward is the gift of God, (as floating unity) to interpret the dream rather than by the worldly gifts of the King that form the left hand bow now in union with his three friends.

Daniel and His friends are now in the same position the court's wise men found themselves, yet Daniel and his friends are in receipt of approval from God and the gifts of interpretation, provided with the oil (doctrine) that is revelation from God. So the two static subgroups with Daniel as the unity in the middle are as follows.

(the sleep 3-cycle) answered by (wisdom, might, interpretation) = Daniel = (gifts, rewards, great honour) unto (three friends kept alive)

The static subgroup of the gifts of God in the right hand correspond to the interpretation of the dream's four parts, by God's gift to Daniel. The reward of the King is to preserve the lives of Daniel and his three companions, worth more to them that the King's rewards themselves. Better then that they have the Gift of God so as to save them alive. The true reward is the approval and gift from God found in the right hand octal rather than the left. In preference to the rewards of worldly approval, Daniel praises God for the gifts to preserve lives and does so more fervently.

The earthy elements of the right hand are the four friends, and on the left handed octal the earthy elements are the interpretations by Daniel of the dream's four parts by the gifts of God to Daniel. In the right hand octal we have salvation from God of the four, and in the left hand octal (of the King) we have the redemption and reward of the four friends in the interpretation of the fourfold dream. In both cases we see the gift of God is in "union" with Daniel for the four-part interpretation of the Kings dream, and the rewards of the King and the salvation of their lives is in union with the four companions from the left hand to the right in respect.

The "cross-over" in the middle is the man Daniel with the gift of God. He is "absorbed" as unity into the four earthy elements to "be stood in the right place", or as the "oil", (as correct doctrine.)

The captain of the guard tasked to kill all the wise-men is stopped short by Daniel - whom he brings before the king swiftly to interpret the dream. The extra night's grace for the man gifted by God and the later salvation of the "earthy elements" of the four friends (and the whole court of wise men, c.f. the whole world) saves alive those that would otherwise by reason of fault (read sin - the lack of the "truth" as the restrainer of the destruction) before their king. The captain does not play the part of mediator, but of the bringer of the due reward of the faulty (sinful) wise men (world) under death's sentence.

Daniel and his friends become approved by God and the king, and are "elect", whereas there is another longer period of grace extended over every other wise man in the kingdom, saving their lives - by the intercession of Daniel for His friends the wider group is spared.
